Abstract

This dissertation develops information regarding the engineering characteristics of mine waste rock and examines slope stability and deformation features such as cracking and settlement in mine waste dumps such as those found in north-central Nevada. Little information exists for these types of engineering structures in arid and semi-arid environments.
