Abstract

Nevada is facing an alarming rate of sex trafficking amid its unique legal landscape surrounding prostitution and a sexual economy. In response, Nevada has passed several laws and policies to address sex trafficking, but what have these efforts prioritized? To answer this question, a list of laws and policies enacted between 2015-2025 will be compiled, transformed into a categorical table, analyzed for trends, and findings disseminated through research. The methodology includes data collection of laws and policies enacted between 2015 and 2025, translating this data into a table, focusing on qualitative thematic analysis, and triangulation of economic implications through supply and demand market interpretation. From this process, the findings aim to inform future legislative efforts and contribute to a more effective, evidence-based framework to address sex trafficking in Nevada.
