Abstract

Recrystallization studies were made on vanadium metal of three commercial purities. Arc melted vanadium metal was cold worked by swaging step-wise to reductions of 30, 50 and 753 Recrystallization temperatures as determined by Vickers hardness and metallography were found to be from 600 to 1000 C, de pending upon the purity of the metal.
