Abstract

Alteration and mineralization of the Aurora Mining District has been studied. Epithermal precious metal mineralization of the district is confined to 10.3 m. y. old quartz adularia veins in altered andesite. Alteration ranges from outer weak propylitization to transitional strong propylitization to near-vein quartz illite alteration.
