Abstract

The presented method applies to data storage devices having applications in information storage, data security, intelligent media, and other secure storage applications. Traditional data storage devices can be altered or erased simply with a magnetic field. The presented method can only be read with a very high resolution smart reading device. The new method also solves the data storage capacity limit. Using laser ablation and magnetic particles a new form of data storage was experimented and a proof of concept demonstrated.
