Abstract

A medium sized tungsten deposit has apparently been opened in an area which has heretofore known only scattered production. The character of the ore is different than most found anywhere in Nevada. Most Nevada scheelite is found in tactites along lime-granite contacts. Inasmuch as it is a new deposit on which no extractive metallurgical investigation has been done and also the mineral association of this deposit presents new metallurgical problems, it is felt that a complete study of this ore is warranted. Such a study will indicate which method or methods are best suited for maximum recovery of values from this ore. It will also make available some metallurgical data which may be of use to other investigators working on similar types of ore.
