Abstract

A detailed study of the hydrogeology of the Dodge Flat hydrographic basin was initiated to attempt to explain the flow and quality changes in the lower Truckee River. Groundwater from the Fernley area entering the Truckee River near Wadsworth and discharge from Dead Ox Meadow were found to be the two major groundwater systems affecting the lower Truckee River.
