Abstract
This manuscript of free-verse poetry is an exploration and excavation of self. These poems delve into the creation and acceptance of self as it relates to gender and sexuality. Discursive in nature, this collection runs the gamut of themes from familial relationships to romantic love to issues of transphobia and homophobia and mental illness. The forms are widely variable from poem to poem, a balance of lyric poems with fragmented collagist poems.
