Abstract
The area of the investigation is underlain chiefly by metamorphosed Late Triassic and Early Jurassic rocks, a gabbroic pluton of Middle Jurassic and Early Cretaceous age, a granitic pluton of probable Cretaceous age and volcanic rocks of Early Middle to Lake Tertiary and Quaternary age. Quaternary deposits, predominantly lacustrine, occur in basinal areas.
