Abstract

A geologic map of the Black Mountain area has been created. The area is underlain by for intrusive rock bodies. Roof pendants of Triassic(?) metavolcanics, recrystallized limestone, and metamorphosed shallow intrusives are present. Parts of the area are overlain by Tertiary intermediate volcanic rocks and Quaternary mafic volcanic rocks.
