Abstract
Mechanical parts in machinery are prone to vibration damage. Software is often used to keep track of data regarding the frequency and magnitude of these vibrations. General Electric currently has to bring out expensive equipment to log and convert the data from the software into relevant and readable data, risking the equipment in the process. The goal of this project was to use a Renesas Embedded GUI board to create a device that no longer requires bringing out expensive equipment to read the data. The board logs the data and makes it possible for the information to be saved onto a USB stick. The data then is sent to a remote computer and converted into usable data.
