Abstract

Meth Lives is a project devoted entirely to exploring methamphetamine addiction and the lives of the addicts. This project takes a close look at the lives of five characters whose lives are intertwined through their dependence on the drug. These five characters interact with one another, but more importantly, they interact with their own addictions to the drug. There is a meth epidemic in the United States right now that is largely unpublicized because of the nature of the drug; as such, this project seeks to explore the drug, the addiction, and the faces behind the addiction. This project aims to have an open conversation with meth and addiction, taking note of how the drug has infiltrated the lives of various people.
