Abstract

A behavior assessment was derived from a cognitive assessment. A multiple probe design with one constant series control was used to investigate if cognitive domain performance of elderly participants during a precision measurement intervention informed by the behavioral assessment exposed greater utility towards intervention than the cognitive assessment alone. That is, we attempted to show that that where we produced learning, we saw probe performance in the same direction. Pilot data suggested support for the hypothesis that a correlation exists between cognitive domain performance during a precision measurement intervention and the change in pre and post cognitive screening tool markers. The implications of a dynamic assessment demonstrated by an interdisciplinary approach toward cognitive assessment is discussed.
