Abstract

One- and three-dimensional theories of aquifer dilation due to earth tides are reviewed to determine aquifer storage characteristics. Water-level records for eleven wells and one open fault that penetrate the aquifers and one well in alluvium were analyzed. Estimates of specific storage, porosity, and matrix compressibility for the carbonate rock aquifers are presented.
