Abstract

Seismic refraction surveys were conducted in washes near Yucca Mountain to determine depths to the interface between unsaturated alluvium and unsaturated bedrock. Analysis of seismic data from 11 locations in three washes indicated that the thickness of alluvium ranged from 3.3 to 51.9 ft.
